Learn fun watercolour techniques and paint your own small pictures. Bring out the sparkle in your paintings with bright papers and pretty string. For a professional finish add stylish writing, using the free online software Canva. (No need to panic, I show you the ropes, so you can easily create more at home.)
But mainly we’ll paint and you’ll learn to:
- create ‘invisible’ sketches for your paintings
- use layers to create more depth
- the simple secret to stop colours running into each
- manipulating your brush to create stylised leaves
- the joys of painting wet in wet
- adding effects in watercolour
- the little known brush cleaning tip that makes all the difference
Suitable for absolute beginners or those who always loved watercolours. No advanced drawing skills necessary, just come along and join the fun.
We’ll be working in my studio in Alexandra Park, in a small group of up to 4. So you get plenty of time to ask questions and really get the hang of things. All materials, a proper brew, festive mince pies and cheerful chatter included.
This is the only Christmas watercolour workshop I’m running. As it’s the first one in my studio, I have a special introductory offer of £55*. Future watercolour workshops will be £75. So if that sound’s like your cup of tea, don’t delay and book your space.
I strongly belief art is for everyone. If the sugar has hit the fan in your life and your finances would just about stretch to cover a few materials please get in touch through the contact form (if I post my email here, the spam bods will have a field day). Just briefly say, why you’d like to participate and can’t afford it right now and I’ll have a look if the hardship fund grips for you. Best of luck, Jacqueline.
